lights will guide you

i suddenly have an enormous craving for anything pink these few weeks. Zatchels.com caries such pretty satchels of many designs from animal prints to polka dots! Not to mention in colors like raspberry and all the colors of the rainbow. Unfortunately, its retails at £76 to £97 , depending on the sizes, but i've never spent so much on a bag that isn't vintage ! Its time to start saving again!

happy late easter to everyone out there who was egg-hunting yesterday! i didn't go out, as i was home studying for my mid-terms, but i wasn't deprived from chocolate either. My sweet tooth got the better of me and i ate both a solid chocolate rabbit yesterday and cadbury chocolate egg and pudding dip that were gifts to me. It made me giddy with happiness and i decided to spread the joy by buying caramel-filled chocolate eggs for my dearest classmates! i'd always wanted to dye easter eggs in all shades of pastels, decorate them for display, and look how delicate the ones in the photo above are ! Made with love by the very talented fellow blogger Jessica Enig of Such Pretty Things

my favorite item from Tokyolux so far ( other than their doughnut pullover i simply adore, you have to check it out ) , their hand-crafted flower crowns. i've seen many versions, but not one as fragile and teeny as this, and the thinner it is, the harder it is to make. i'm such a cheapskate i refuse to pay for this, so DIY here i come!

have a good night everyone!

baby blues

credits to Emily

well, its a tuesday night, doing my research, home alone, with no good food at all. Emilie Griottes' tarts makes my tummy rumble with such delight at the sight of this amazing creations and at the same time lots of disappointment knowing that i'd be surviving on snickers bars and oily food for the rest of my school-packed week. i'd always wanted to get those pantone colour pads! then maybe i could number off my clothes according to their tone and shades too!

credits to nastygal

i used to be a girl who said shoes weren't important, and now i can't live a week without checking solestruck or nastygal's new kicks. the colours makes my heart melt. the ones i am eyeing on are the Perfect Platform in Aqua Patent by Jeffrey campbell ( i love JC ! ) and Saffir Platform Pump in Blush by Senso.

ps. i have yet to purchase a pair of shoes from Senso, this might just be my chance!

en pointe

hey everyone something special for today, Christian Louboutin for The Royal Ballet heels, on "shoes for show" showcase located in Brick lane, East London. i've been on pointe shoes various times before with proper protection from the hard plaster and comfort pads, so its nothing compared to these , and i'm sure it would be a taste of fashion heaven if i got the chance to try it! i guess i'm pretty daring when it comes to heights and structures of shoes - then again, i'd do anything in the name of fashion.

mini fact: these shoes were made to raise money for English National Ballet , how inspiring when one supports another of a different art form ! heartfelt !

october feature - guest blogger Daria

hello my fellow bloggers, as promised on the group i had created on International Fashion Bloggers, i would pick a fresh face to guest blog here. and there she is, Daria, from Saint-petersburg . The proud owner of fashionsurf, a graduate from Vaganova ballet acad,  that impressed me with her friendliness, outgoing personality and most importantly, style. hopefully you all would follow and support her along the way ! get to know her by the quick interview that went down overnight -

_______________________________________________

Me: what is the message you want to send to those interested in fashion - how do you think they should start?
Daria: It's getting harder and harder now to get into the fashion world now. Because fashion is really in fashion now (ironically) - it's all over the internet, all over tv - it's everywhere. And so to be noticed you have to be unique, you have to be passionate, you have to be tireless. If you are blogger - you should post often, visit lots of fashion events and yeah...leave tons of comments everywhere you can - cause that's how people will hear about you and and find your blog.
*
Me: who are your fashion inspirations?
Daria: Life itself is pretty inspiring. But my greatest inspiration is art: beautiful photos or drawings, touching films, music. Also there were times I'd had a lack of inspiration - that's why I created my tumblr (http://anearlymorning.tumblr.com). That's basically a collection of everything that inspires me.
*
Me: what would you describe your style as?
Daria: My style is...ever changing. What I know is that I don't like being to girly and I really-really love men's bold accessories. Also I'm a big lover of high-heels and mini though.
*
Me: whos your favorite designer/ stylist/ makeup artist ( pick one ) and why?
Daria: There are a lot of great ones. But my favourite would be Olivier Theyskens. His pices are so various - from fab dresses to just a casual something. And they are always extremely stylish, super-beautiful and never overload (even if it's a gown with like thousands of layers - it looks just right)
*
Me: whats your fashion goal you wish to achieve for the year through blogging?
Daria: There's no special goal actually. I just want to keep on blogging, participate in interesting projects, meet new people and be useful for people reading me.
*
Me: how do you feel about being chosen?
Daria: Oh, I'm really honored to be chosen to be a guest blogger for as beautiful blog as atoasttowonderland is!
*
Me: any comments/ suggestions for atoasttowonderland ?
Daria: Honestly, your blog is great the way it is! I really love the way you write and the photos you post. So yes, I have a suggestion - just keep on posting, girl! You are good at this!

my message to Daria : thanks for giving me the opportunity to interview such a sweet girl like you, and i would be keeping track of your blog as a reader and as a fan! you are one of my blogger inspirations, keep it up & may god bless ♥  see you soon!
my message to those who were hoping to get this feature on IFB : sorry lovelies, maybe next time! as i had put in my description, i will be  constantly checking out your new posts so i can decide who my next guest blogger. don't be discouraged, hold your heads up high and be confident! tumblr, blogs and websites are all accepted. both male and female applicants are welcome too! would be setting up a new group for the next feature, so email me at : shoperecxic@hotmail.com if you wish to be an earlybird.

rumour has it

what i'm wearing : onyx tutu skirt, destrucked, in skirts
                           blazer, juice market, in outerwear
suede bow flats, kimchi blue for urban outfitters, in flats
owl ring, m by mj, in accessories
                                  rocking horse necklace, in accessories

hey you, i hope you like the pictures! they were taken at Ann Siang hill, after i left the hospital for a checkup today. sweet place, friendly people and some great food! found an amazing vintage store ( i'm so selfish i won't share the exact location ;) ) , that sells one-off goods at a high price, but theres bound to be cheap treasures if you look hard enough. they sell tons of vintage doc marts ( for all you hippies out there - and leather lovers ) , unfortunate as it is that i am against leather.... but i did get myself a swing skirt at knee-length, sparkly, champagne toned. would've taken a pic or two for you all, but... i'll save it for christmas where the surprises would be released. if you were hardcore vintage collectors like me, then go search the entire place - but do keep an open mind as you shop, be sure not to miss out on the other stalls

if you were paying close attention to the photos, you'd be able to see closeups of my outfit !
sorry this post was a lil' late! g'night
